Soffban Natural is a viscose cast padding that is suitable for plaster of Paris and synthetic casts. The highly absorbent natural viscose is suitable for use where bleeding may occur, absorbs exudate and moisture away from the skin and reduces the risk of skin maceration and sensitivity. It is also suitable and widely used for venous leg ulcer multi-layer bandaging therapy as layer number 1. It is easy to tear, has excellent conformability around body contours, feathers easily and clings to itself and also blends to give a smooth even finish.
Soffban Natural has excellent cushioning and has a padding structure that creates a material which is light, deep and stable, with good air flow. It protects from the rigid cast material and also provides protection from the cast saw on cast removal. The soft material is conformable for the patient, soft and gentle against the skin. It is autoclavable and can be sterilised.
