The EcoFib Outdoor Heated AED Cabinet is a secure and highly durable solution for storing defibrillators in outdoor environments, equipped with a lock. This cabinet is constructed from polycarbonate, the same material used in riot shields, and offers exceptional strength, impact resistance, and corrosion protection, making it virtually indestructible. Designed with vandal resistance in mind, the cabinet withstands most forms of tampering. Its high-visibility yellow finish ensures it stands out, increasing public awareness of the AED’s location.
Built for all-weather performance, the cabinet features fully insulated, weatherproof construction to protect the device inside. A thermostatically controlled heating system prevents internal temperatures from dropping below 5°C, ensuring the defibrillator remains operational in cold conditions. Clear, step-by-step instructions—developed with guidance from ambulance services—are displayed on the front panel to assist users during emergencies.

Uses
The EcoFib Outdoor Heated AED Cabinet is designed to securely store an Automated External Defibrillator in a durable, weatherproof, thermostatically controlled, and fully insulated environment.
Application
Preparing your EcoFib Outdoor Heated AED Cabinet:
- Inspect the cabinet for any damage and report any damage to your supplier within 24 hours of delivery
- Use the 4 fixing bolts provided to secure the cabinet to the wall with an aid of the fitting template
- Once wall mounted, we recommend sealing around the cabinet with high quality sealer
- Remember that location and clarity is paramount in the positioning of a Public Access Defibrillator
- Plug in the 3 Pin Plug. Light and temperature display appear
- Open the door by pressing the C button and rotating the handle downwards and pulling the doors towards you
How to programme a code into your lock:
- Your AED cabinet is delivered unlocked and without a digital code programmed into your lock. To open it simply rotate the lock handle clockwise
- Using the tool (Allen Key) provided press and rotate the on/off switch on the back of the lock from ON to OFF and ensure that it pops back out
- Select the code that you wish to use. We advise you to select a code beginning with “C” if possible. This cancels any code that may have previously been entered accidently
- If someone presses an incorrect button, then “C” must be pressed to cancel it
- Rotate the Numbers that you have selected anti clockwise 180 Degrees or to the horizontal position
- Should you wish to set a code with the same number used multiple times then rotate chosen number only once. “C” cannot be rotated
- Once complete, use the tool to rotate the ON/OFF switch back to ON
- Your code is now set. Should you ever wish to change the code then reverse this process
Note: Do not close the door until you have ensured that your selected code works.
How to set the thermostat:
- Your heater is preset at 5 degrees ensuring that the internal temperature of your cabinet does not drop below
- This can be increased/decreased by pressing “set” again
- The higher you set the temperature the more electricity that will be used
- The heater will not be on permanently, only when required
How to open the cabinet:
- Enter the preset code to unlock
- Pull the handle downward
- Open the cabinet door and pull outward, activating the battery box alarm
How to close the cabinet:
- Close the cabinet door
- Slowly push the door to ensure the door is aligned with the cabinet body
- Press the door panel. Use your palm to press the center of the door panel. Press firmly until you hear a “click” sound. The alarm will automatically stop
- Check the cabinet door. Lightly pull the handle to confirm it cannot be opened. This indicates the lock is fully secured
Maintenance:
- Your cabinet is virtually maintenance free
- Occasionally you will need to oil the lock with a high-quality silicone-based lubricant
- Clean the cabinet in general
