Description

The BSN Tensoban Foam Underwrap is a lightweight, very thin, polyurethane protective underwrap that is used under adhesive bandages and strapping tapes. It is permeable to air and water vapour, helping to reduce the risk of macerations. The bandage is highly conformable and easy to apply.

The BSN Tensoban Foam Underwrap is made of a  a porous and water resistant material which allows the skin to breathe, and is latex free. This thin underwrap is used with adhesive bandages, where the wrap is placed between the bandage and the skin to protect the skin from the adhesive, which can sometimes cause irritation. It is also used to protect the skin and hairs from harsh strapping techniques, and to stabilise the pressure caused by strapping.

The BSN Tensoban Foam Underwrap has excellent conformability, making it easy to apply to even the most difficult parts of the body. It also protects skin in all functional strapping and taping applications.

Size: 7cm x 20m.

Uses

The BSN Tensoban Foam Underwrap is used for skin protection in all functional strapping and taping applications.

The BSN Tensoban Foam Underwrap is used over padding to minimise ridging, and create a smooth compressed layer underneath Plaster of Paris and synthetic casts.

The BSN Tensoban Foam Underwrap is particularly useful when creating windows for inspection, and for easy conversion of casts to resting splints.

It also equalises pressure under the strapping.

Simply wrap the BSN Tensoban Foam Underwrap around the affected area, partially overlapping the previous layer.

Make sure you cover all the affected area, and then rip off the foam underwrap from the roll.
