The Tensoban Pre-Tape Underwrap is a thin polyurethane wrap which can be used under adhesive bandages and tapes to aid in protecting the skin in taping and strapping techniques. The product is versatile and can be particularly useful when creating ‘windows’ for inspection and for easy conversion of casts into resting splints.
This underwrap can also be used as a pre-tape by applying it on top of the padding layer, in orthopaedic casting to provide a smooth, compressed surface before the synthetic casting material is applied. This latex free material is porous and water resistant which allows the skin to breath, along with reducing the risk of skin macerations.

Uses
The Tensoban Pre-Tape Underwrap can be used under adhesive bandages and tapes to protect the skin in taping and strapping techniques. It can also be used as a pre-tape when applied on top of the padding layer, along with being used to create windows for inspection and easy conversion of casts into resting splints.
Application
- Simply wrap the Tensoban Pre-Tape Underwrap around the affected area, partially overlapping the previous layer
- Take care to ensure all the affected area is covered, once satisfied rip the underwrap from the roll
- The underwrap should stick to itself
