Description

Leukoplast Wound Closure Strips consist of a polyamide knitted fabric backing material coated on one side with an UV-curing acrylic adhesive. The rounded edges keep the strips in place, and the PET liner is perforated at both ends to simplify application. Leukoplast wound closure strip is sealed in printed pouches, packed into folding boxes and sterilised with ethyleneoxide.

The strips are flexible and elastic, and the intelligent structure and interwoven polyamide threads mean that they adapt to the different healing stages of the wound, expanding and contracting to allow for swelling, temporary edema and movement. They are fast and easy to apply, saving time and cutting the cost of follow-up wound management, with less risk of infection. The application and removal of closure strips are atraumatic procedures, almost pain free in comparison with invasive wound closures and do not require local anesthetic.

The Leukoplast Wound Closure Strips are durable and are designed for use from one to several days depending on the status of the wound, and the round edges help to prevent fraying and curling, keeping the wound protected. These breathable wound closure strips are permeable to moisture and air and helps preventing skin maceration, as well as being able to quickly and securely adapt to wound edges, while the strong, well-tolerated adhesive guarantees reliable adhesion.

The strips come in the following sizes and pack sizes:

• 6mm x 75mm, 50 Packs of 3 strips

• 12mm x 100mm, 50 Packs of 6 strips

Uses

The Leukoplast Wound Closure Strips are used to allow wounds to heal without additional trauma to the surrounding skin. They are used as an option for topical skin closure. They help seal wounds by pulling the two sides of the skin together without making any contact with the actual wound.

Application
