The Burnshield Mini Burn Kit is a convenient, compact and light weight kit that is suitable for minor burns or scalds at home, on the road or out and about.
The kit contains:
- 1 x Burnshield Dressing 100mm x 100mm (4”x4”)
- 1 x Cohesive Soft 1 Foam Bandage
- 2 x Burnshield Hydrogel Sachet 3.5ml (1/8 Oz)
Burnshield Dressing
The Burnshield Dressing is a foam dressing soaked in Burnshield sterile trauma hydrogel, supplied in a foil pouch. Burnshield is a sterile trauma hydrogel which can be used for minor burns and scalds. With its high water content, Burnshield Hydrogel cools and soothes by absorbing and dissipating heat which minimises skin damage. Burnshield Gel is a white to off-white gel which turns clear once applied. This allows for monitoring of wound progression. It is non-stick and will not adhere to the wound, while also being non-toxic and non-irritant meaning it is safe to use on children.

Burnshield is a sterile trauma hydrogel which can be used for minor burns and scalds. With its high water content, Burnshield Hydrogel cools and soothes by absorbing and dissipating heat which minimises skin damage. Uses
The Burnshield Mini Kit can be used for small sized burns, fingers and children.
Application
100mm x 100mm Burnshield Dressing
- Open the sterile package
- Remove the Foam Dressing from package
- Apply the Foam Dressing over the wound
- Secure the Foam dressing with a non-adherent bandage
- Re-apply Burnshield Hydrogel to the dressing to prevent the wound from dehydrating
- Seek medical attention if needed
3.5ml Burnshield Hydrogel Sachet
- Apply Burnshield hydrogel thoroughly – ensure to extend the application beyond the burn area
- Secure the gel with a non-adherent dressing
- Re-apply the hydrogel to prevent the wound from dehydrating
- Seek medical attention
