The coarser size (120) is used to file the nails, and the finer-grain side (180) is used to shape them. Application
- Use the 120 grit (extra coarse) side to shorten nails
- Use the 180 grit (coarse) side to shape and refine edges
- Follow the natural shape of your nails and always file in the same direction to help prevent splitting
- For a square tip, hold the file straight and perpendicular to the nail
- For a rounded or oval finish, angle the file under the nail edge and smooth the corners
- Clean the file after use and store in a dry place
