It provides the appropriate degree of stabilization, and is simple to fix and remove. There is a Velcro tab closure attached to the Reliance Cervical Foam Collar, and it can be used to treat patients suffering from neck and head injuries.

The Reliance Medical Cervical Foam Collar is used to treat patients that have suffered from a neck or head injury, such as a cervical fracture. It can be used to support the head and neck of a patient in order to aid the healing of a head or neck injury, and also to prevent further injury.
The Reliance Medical Cervical Foam Collar can also be used to help realign the spinal cord, and help patients that are in pain due to ‘whiplash’ injuries following a motor accident, sprains or strains.
They may also be used to treat chronic medical conditions from mild muscle weakness to degenerative disc disease.

How to measure for a Cervical Foam Collar:
As the patient stands have him/her look directly forward (not up or down), so that when viewed from the side, one can visualize an imaginary right angle between his/her line of sight, and the long access of his/her body. This ensures that the patients neck is in the neutral position. Take a simple neck circumference measurement.
How to put the Cervical Foam Collar on:
Remove the Cervical Foam Collar from the packaging.
Unfasten the Velcro strap.
Apply the collar snugly once the fitting is complete.
Fasten the Velcro strap to the size of the neck in which it feels comfortable.
