Description

The BV Sterile Foam Dressing is a non-adherent, highly absorbent dressing with superior exudate management. It is covered by a breathable, waterproof and germ-resistant outer film, both materials of polyurethane.

The BV Sterile Foam Dressing is easy to apply and remove, is soft and comfortable an is also conformable. It is used as treatment of medium to heavily exuding wounds.

The BV Sterile Foam Dressing creates a moist environment conducive to wound healing. It helps to keep out bacteria and other contaminants.

The BV Sterile Foam Dressing comes in a pack of 10. Each dressing is in an individual peel-open pack.

Uses

A​ variety of wound types with at least a moderate amount of exudate including, but not limited to, abrasions, incisions, lacerations, pressure ulcers, infected wounds and draining peristomal wounds can benefit from the BV Sterile Foam Dressing.

Foam Dressings can be used as either primary dressings (making direct contact with the wound) or secondary dressings (used to cover a primary dressing for protective purposes). They’re generally meant for partial- or full-thickness wounds that have moderate or more drainage.

The BV Sterile Foam Dressing is used to provide a warm, moist environment ideal for healing. They Serve as a cushion to protect the affected area and provide a barrier against bacteria. They can be used in the case of infection and are suitable for wounds with hypergranulation. They may also be used during compression therapy and are easy to apply and remove.

Application

Clean the wound area before application.

Dry the surrounding area with a sterile piece of gauze.

Apply the BV Sterile Foam Dressing to extend at least one inch beyond the wound edges.

Cover with a secondary dressing – if the secondary dressing is not bordered with an adhesive, you may need to use tape or wrap to hold it in place.
