BSN Soffban Plus Synthetic is highly conformable orthopaedic bandage padding that provides a soft layer between wound dressings & top bandages. The excellent loft retention provides for efficient, comfortable padding. The soft, non-absorbent material allows moisture to drain so reducing the risk of skin maceration.
The BSN Soffban Plus Synthetic is suitable for use with both Plaster of Paris and synthetic casts, and tears with excellent feathering for smooth laydown to give an even undercast layer. The padding is made from synthetic non-absorbent material that allows moisture to drain away from the skin. The cushioned dressing retains its quality even when wet, reducing the risk of skin maceration and sensitivity.
The BSN Soffban Plus Synthetic padding fibres contain a bacteriorstatic agent Triclosan that prevents bacteria from multiplying, reducing the risk of odours and infection. The easy to apply material provides excellent levels of conformability, feathered material clings to itself for a clean, smooth finish.
The cushioned material found in the BSN Soffban Plus Synthetic padding is fantastic at protecting a wound, but is light and breathable at the same time. It also provides protection from the cast saw on cast removal. It is non-sterile as supplied but can be autoclaved for theatre use.
