Description
BSN Sleek BP Tape is a waterproof adhesive tape which consists of a smooth, thin, plastic film spread with a strong adhesive. It is used to secure and protect dressings likely to be contaminated by water, oil or grease. It is therefore suitable for securing colostomy, ileostomy and incontinence products. BSN Sleek BP Water Resistant Tape is also indicated for appliance fixation where strength and security are important. It can also be used for waterproofing the edges of plaster casts.
BSN Sleek BP Water Resistant Tape is a latex-free adhesive, and also has a slight stretch which allows the tape to mould to body contours.
Uses
BSN Sleek BP Water Resistant Tape is used for the fixation of dressings and appliances where they are likely to be in contact with dirt or water.
BSN Sleek BP Water Resistant Tape is also used for securing dressings securely.
BSN Sleek BP Water Resistant Tape is strong, reliable and resists sweat, grease, oil and water.
Application
- Remove the BSN Sleek BP Water Resistant Tape from the packaging.
- Find where the tape begins, and peel the tape back until you have enough to cover the dressing. Cut the tape with a scissors, and apply to the dressing as needed.
- Take care not to apply the tape too tightly, to avoid circulation problems.
- Should any numbness or tingling arise, remove tape and re-apply less tightly. As with all adhesive products, apply and remove carefully from sensitive or fragile skin. Do not use if sensitive to adhesive plasters.
