Description

BSN Cutimed Siltec B is a self-adherent silicone bordered foam dressing with super absorbers. It is indicated for secondary healing wounds with low to moderate exudate levels, such as venous leg ulcers, arterial leg ulcers, diabetic gangrenes, pressure sores, skin grafts, as well as for abrasions and sutured wounds.

BSN Cutimed Siltec B is a polyurethane foam dressing containing superabsorbent particles which absorb and lock wound exudate. The wound contact surface is a perforated silicone layer. This layer allows gentle adherence to the periwound skin but not to the moist wound bed or to the epidermis of the healing wound. This minimises trauma and pain during dressing changes. The outer film of the BSN Cutimed Siltec B is water-repellent, yet permeable to oxygen and vapour.

The foam dressing and the embedded superabsorbers are designed to absorb and to lock away excess wound fluid inside the dressing, promoting a moist wound environment and minimising the risk of maceration of the wound environment. BSN Cutimed Siltec B is highly conformable and provides cushioning and protection of the wound site. BSN Cutimed Siltec B leaves no residues in the wound. The dressing reliably retains wound exudate, even under compression bandages.

This BSN Cutimed Siltec B box contains 5 dressings.

Size: 22.5 x 22.5cm.

  • For best results, make sure Cutimed Siltec B overlaps the wound margins by at least 2 cm. (fig. A)
  • To apply, remove protective film (fig. B) and apply with the adherent side towards the wound. (fig. C)
  • Avoid stretching the dressing.

Dressing Change and Removal
