Description

The Kendall Breast Feeding Pad is a sterile polyurethane-based hydrophilic hydrogel dressing that provides cool, soothing relief to breastfeeding mothers.

The Kendall Breast Feeding Pad is a soft flexible disc that absorbs leakage to keep the skin healthy and the nipple area dry between feedings. The pad is completely safe and non-toxic to mother and baby, and is washable and reusable for several days.

The Kendall Breast Feeding Pad protects a moist wound environment conductive to optimal wound healing. They protect against bacterial contamination, wound dehydration, absorb drainage and provide a cool pain-relieving cover.

The Kendall Breast Feeding Pad helps to head damaged nipples, and are recommended by lactation consultants. The pad will not stick to the nipple area upon removal, and can be refrigerated for additional cooling comfort.

Size: 3” or 7.6cm.

Uses

The Kendall Breast Feeding Pad protects a moist wound environment conductive to optimal wound healing. They protect against bacterial contamination, wound dehydration, absorb drainage and provide a cool pain-relieving cover.

The Kendall Breast Feeding Pad is used for nipple trauma associated with breastfeeding.

Application

Wash hands prior to handling the Kendall Breast Feeding Pad.

Open package and remove dressing from its carrier sheet. Save the carrier sheet.

Place the “cup” side of the dressing onto the nipple area. (The dressing is contoured to fit over the nipple area and inside of a nursing bra. No additional securement is required).

Prior to breastfeeding, remove dressing with warm water. Pat the dressing dry. Always place the dressing on a clean surface (carrier sheet is suggested). (For additional cooling comfort, dressing may be stored in the refrigerator during breastfeeding).

Place the rinsed dressing back on the nipple area until it is time for the next feeding.
