Description

BV Sterile Non-Adherent Dressings are extra absorbent pads, and are made of non-adherent material that prevents the dressing from sticking to the wound, avoiding tissue damage during dressing changes. The dressings are laminated with a porous non-adhesive mesh on one side, and the laminate is made up of a non-adherent net, an absorbent fleece, a fusible powder and a water repellent non-woven fabric layer.

BV Sterile Non-Adherent Dressings can absorb up to 20 times its own weight in exudates, making it ideal for heavy exudating wounds. The absorbent fluid remains in the pad and does not leak, as the BV Sterile Non-Adherent Dressings are individually sealed and sterilised at 121⁰.

Each of the BV Sterile Non-Adherent Dressings are individually wrapped.

There are 150 BV Sterile Non-Adherent Dressings per box.

Uses

The BV Non-Adherent Dressings can be used for the treatment of minor injuries (including cuts and abrasions), post-surgical wounds and small partial thickness burns.
The BV Non-Adherent Dressings are suitable for use on mod heavy exudating wounds.

Application

Cleanse the wound in accordance with local clinical protocols. Select an appropriate dressing size.

Prepare and clean the skin surrounding the wound area and remove excess moisture. Any excess hair should be clipped to ensure close approximation to the wound.

Remove the BV Non-Adherent Dressings from the pack.

Apply the the shiny (laminate) side to the wound ensuring good contact and secure with a dressing retention sheet, tape or bandage.
