Uses
BSN Leukosan Skin Closure Strips are suitable for cuts, lacerations and surgical incisions.
The skin closure strips hold the edges of an incision, cut or laceration together.
These strips enhances the healing process through the rapid development of wound strength.
BSN Leukosan Skin Closure Strips can also be used to ensure superior cosmetic results, and reduce scarring caused by puncture marks or cross hatching.
Application
Ensure that the wound has been cleaned, and is fully dry.
Peel away the backing.
With a forceps, take one of the BSN Leukosan Skin Closure Strips, and put one edge on a side of the wound – making sure it is going right across the wound.
Simply place the strip down and try to ensure that the wound is squeezed together tightly, and the strip is securely in place.
Do not apply the BSN Leukosan Skin Closure Strips under pressure, as blistering may occur.
Place the BSN Skin Closure Strips approximately 3mm apart.
To reduce tension or stress, add the BSN Leukosan Skin Closure Strips parallel to the wound.
In case of skin irritation or inflammation, discontinue use and seek medical advice.
